Louise Wetheridge

Louise Wetheridge is Education Projects Manager at Education for Change. Her responsibilities include research and analysis; project management and communication, including administration of EU framework contracts; business development including identification of opportunities and preparation of responses; and business processes including website and project database management and development.

Louise has worked as an English Language Teacher in Europe (Austria, Italy, and the U.K) and in East Africa (Uganda and Kenya) and more recently as Training and Learning Adviser in the Education sector with Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO), providing ongoing training and learning support to Education volunteers and programme staff internationally. Here, she was responsible for designing and delivering learning resources, coordinating projects, moderating Gender and Education and development message boards, and managing a pool of freelance trainers.

Louise holds a Masters degree with distinction in Education, Gender and International Development from the Institute of Education, University of London, for which she carried out qualitative research on the political will to tackle violence against girls in schools in Ghana.
