Thematic Evaluation: Primary Education - for Plan International
Education for Change Ltd (EfC) has been commissioned by Plan International to carry out a Thematic Evaluation on Primary Education.
The overall purpose of the evaluation is to evaluate the strategies applied in and the performance of Plan's program interventions in Primary Education and the extent to which these have contributed to the sustainable provision of quality education in Plan's countries of operation.
The evaluation started on the 28th of March 2008 and will last ten months. It comprises:
- a meta-analysis of documentation and previous evaluations in the sector
- consultation with key stakeholders in and outside Plan
- field missions in 8 case-study countries (Bangladesh, China, Ethiopia, Uganda, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic)
- a synthesis/report writing phase.
